Research shows increased physical activity has multiple benefits. D360W offers strength training classes aimed at reducing stress, improving socialization skills and self-esteem. While physical strength training is not meant to replace traditional mental health treatment, it can enhance the results and support personal growth.
Exercise reduces the level of the body’s stress hormones, cortisol and adrenaline, while accelerating the production of endorphins, the body’s natural pain-killing and mood elevating chemicals. So when we hear “I’ve never left here feeling worse than when I came in” it makes sense. We’re here to help teens turn negatives into positives and live their best lives. Gains in physical fitness can lead to gains in other areas, including school.
